Server moves and failover

What happens when we move your site between servers, and how failover protects you.

Occasionally we move accounts between servers, for example during upgrades or when a server has issues.

How moves work

You are notified in advance when possible. The account is copied to the new server. DNS is updated to point to the new server. There may be a short propagation window.

What failover means

If a payment gateway or server becomes unavailable, traffic can be routed to a healthy alternative automatically. This reduces downtime.

During a move

Your site may be briefly read-only. You can keep working in cPanel on the new server.

If your site is down for longer than expected during a move, contact support with your domain.
